The first-ever Conference on Migration and Media Awareness  will gather media practitioners, policy makers, activists and newcomers (refugees/migrants) in Hamburg to discuss on 'Refugeeism, Migrantism, Multiculturalism, Mainstreamism'. The purpose of the conference is to create a forum that brings together community media projects promoted by migrants and refugees and mainstream media in discussion panels, workshops and exhibitions. 

Several parallel events will take place, such as the Media Literacy Training. The event is promoted by Refugee Radio Network  in cooperation with Arbeitsgemeinschaft Radio e.V and Kampnagel Internationale Kulturfabrik.
