In this short video, released on the occasion of the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists, a collection of stories of threatened female journalists. Impunity and safety of female journalists is a top priority in the fight for freedom of the media

According to OSCE Representative on Media Freedom, at least 24 female journalists have been killed in the OSCE region since 1997. Journalists are regular targets of online attacks and female journalists face a double-burden: being attacked as journalists and as women. Anna Politknovskaya, Natalia Estemirova, Kim Wall, Daphne Caruana Galizia are just some cases among the many. Thousands of female journalists are intimidated and harassed on a daily basis. A collection of stories of threatened female journalists in this short video by the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media.
