MEPs look set to agree on the new Digital Single Market Copyright Directive, which will give creative people such as musicians, media workers, journalists, and movie-makers more rights over the digital use and dissemination of their content. The directive is highly controversial. The European Centre for Press and Media Freedom welcomes the new legislation – with certain reservations.
