Turkish President Erdoğan is on a state visit in Berlin, Germany. On Friday, the ECPMF, Reporters Without Borders, Amnesty International and the German journalists’ unions DJV and DJU held a rally at Berlin central station within sight of the chancellery where he met chancellor Angela Merkel for lunch.
About 200 people came to protest against the anti-freedom politics of the Turkish administration and to urge the German government to make it clear that a country where press freedom, the rule of law and human rights are being trampled on, will never be seen as an equal partner…
