Media pluralism and the rule of law

The Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union organises an informal expert seminar on what member states, the EU, NGOs, media companies and private sector actors could do in order to ensure the credibility of information, trust in the media and accurately informed political debate in the digital age. The objective is to provide input for the dialogue of EU ministers in the General Affairs Council on 17 October 2017, on the topic of the role of the EU and the member states in ensuring trust in a pluralistic media in the digital age.
