The Body of European Regulators of Electronic Communication (BEREC) has released on August 30, 2016, the new Guidelines on the Implementation by National Regulators of European Net Neutrality Rules . These guidelines provide guidance for National regulatory authorities (NRA) in monitoring the implementation of EU rules on net neutrality, which apply as of 30 April 2016, following the adoption of Regulation (EU) 2015/2120 on 25 November 2015.
The rules enshrine the principle of net neutrality into EU law: no blocking or throttling or discrimination of online content, applications and services.
