Fact-checking day

April 2 - not accidentally, the day after April's Fool - was declared as the International Fact-checking Day in 2017. Coordinated by the International Fact-Checking Network within Poynter , it is an annual occasion to celebrate fact-checking as an essential skill in journalism and public life.
