Conference: Promoting dialogue between the European Court of Human Rights and the media freedom community

The European Centre for Press and Media Freedom, supported by the Council of Europe, will hold the conference “Promoting dialogue between the ECtHR and the media freedom community” on 24 of March 2017 in the Council of Europe’s Agora Building in Strasbourg.

Key themes to be discussed during the conference include:

• Defamation, privacy and the processing of personal data
• Investigative journalism, access to information, protection of sources and whistle-blowers
• The right to protest and the role of the media during protests.
