Reporters Instructed in Saving Colleagues (RISC) is organising a workshop in emergency medical care for journalists.
The training will take place July 26 to 29 in Turin, Italy, and will be hosted by MeMo , a photography cooperative and magazine.
Registration costs US$100. Instruction fees, medical kits and accommodations for published freelance conflict journalists are paid for by RISC donors. Participants must cover their own travel and meals.
Journalists living in conflict zones who can't afford to travel to Italy may be able to secure grants from other organizations, so they are still encouraged to apply.
