Established in 1992, the Lorenzo Natali prize is granted by the European Commission to media professionals from all over the world who defend the freedom of expression, democracy, human rights and development. For 2018, outstanding submissions related to development and the elimination of violence against women and girls will be awarded. Two categories of applicants are identified:

  • Junior journalists (21-26 years old)
  • Senior journalists (above 27 years old)
