Media Literacy Training 1

Organised by CMFE  and COMMIT , the workshops will target community media practitioners, journalists, journalism schools and trainers, media regulatory bodies/authorities, press councils, civil society organisations (in particular migrants’/women’s organisations) to collect local existing good practices and experiences related to hate speech/discrimination.

The first workshop will take place in Vienna on April 3. – 4. 2017 and will focus on:

• Counter narrative storytelling – contents, formats and strategies to effectively circulate alternative narratives and counter discrimination

• Counterspeech and audience engagement – tools and strategies to strengthen audience and community interaction in online forums and safeguard hate-free discussion environments
