The Department of Political Sciences of Università di Perugia in partnership with the Institute of Media and Journalism of Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI) is organising the Third Spring School on Media Systems, with a specific focus on Central Eastern Europe, from April 1 to 4, 2019.
The School is addressed to advanced Master students, PhDs and junior researchers in communication, media studies, journalism, political communication, sociology of communication and other related fields. Established scholars will provide lectures on theoretical definitions and aspects of global media systems; Participants will hold presentations of their research projects; Meetings with speakers involved in the International Journalism Festival will be also arranged.
Potential participants are invited to apply sending the following documents to springschoolmediasystems@gmail.com by January 27, 2019:
- CV and list of publications;
- A 500-words outline of research projects focusing on key research questions and hypotheses; methodologies; case studies; preliminary results; future research;
- A letter of motivation (no more than 500 words);
Selected participants will be announced by January 31st, 2019. Participants are required to pay a 550€ fee that includes: lectures and discussions; 4 nights accomodation with breakfast and lunch; a city tour plus a farewell dinner in Perugia old town.
