IPI Death Watch

The International Press Institute lists journalists and media staff who were deliberately targeted because of their profession – either because of their reporting or simply because they were journalists

The Death Watch also includes journalists who were killed while on assignment.

IPI datasets compiles detailed information on journalists killed since 1997. It details the total number of journalists killed every year across the world, circumstances of the killing (On Assignment, Covering armed conflict, et al.) and it also provides short biographies of the victim.
