Media freedom monitoring report 2025

The partners from the Media Freedom Rapid Response (MFRR) documented and analysed all media freedom violations recorded on the Mapping Media Freedom database in EU Member States and candidate countries from January to December 2025. The report was produced by the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF), the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ), and the International Press Institute (IPI).
