From #MeToo stories to cases of forced marriages and feticide, media coverage of violence against women and girls has increased. Here are IJNet ’s three tips for better reporting about gender-based violence:
- Assess dangers for sources
- Conduct interviews carefully (and do not cry)
- Move beyond stereotypical images
