The 2025 Anthony Lewis Prize will recognize outstanding journalism that strengthens accountability, promotes adherence to the rule of law principles, and raises awareness of its fundamental role in society. Named after Pulitzer Prize-winning legal journalist Anthony Lewis, the award celebrates excellence in covering critical issues such as government accountability, human and civil rights, access to justice, open government, corruption ì, criminal justice, and judicial independence.

The winner of the $10,000 prize will be honored at the World Justice Forum 2025: Standing Up for the Rule of Law that will be held in Warsaw, Poland, from June 23-26, 2025.

Nominations are open until March 2, 2025. Anyone can nominate a journalist or a team, and self-nominations are also welcome. The competition is open to journalists worldwide, but submissions must be in English or translated into English.
