Warren Richardson winns World Press Photo of the Year Award
The photographer at the centre of ECPMF’s fact-finding mission to Hungary has won the prestigious World Press Photo of the Year Award. Richardson, an Australian journalist, was one of several media workers who were beaten and detained by Hungarian police at the Rozges border crossing between Serbia and Hungary in September 2015. His winning picture shows a baby being passed through the razor-wire fence at the border by refugees.
