The 2024 Roberto Morrione Prize for Investigative Journalism, now in its thirteenth edition, has supported over a hundred young journalists who had conducted 47 investigations, leading to impactful revelations recognised nationally and internationally. 

The Prize, promoted by the Associazione Amici di Roberto Morrione in collaboration with Italian public service broadcaster RAI (Radiotelevisione italiana), funds investigatvie journalism projects on topics relevant to the political, social, economic and cultural life of Italy and Europe. Some of the topics listed as relevant for the mission of the organisation are environmental protection, legality, human and civil rights, technological development, economic activities.

Applications from individuals under the age of 30 are open for two categories: investigative video and investigative radio podcasts. The jury will select four projects - three videos and one podcast - which will be realised with the contribution of the Roberto Morrione Prize. Each of the selected projects will be awarded a contribution of €5,000 and the support of a journalistic tutor. All projects will also be realised with the contribution of a legal, technical and musical tutor.

Final award: One of the four completed projects will be awarded a final prize worth EUR 2,000.
