Premio Luchetta - premioluchetta.com
This press award was established by the Luchetta, Ota, D'Angelo, Hrovatin Foundation, which focuses on supporting children affected by war. The prize honors the memory of three Italian journalists—Marco Luchetta, Alessandro Saša Ota, and Dario D'Angelo—who died when a grenade exploded during their coverage of child war victims in the Balkans. It also remembers cameraman Miran Hrovatin, who lost his life in Mogadishu alongside journalist Ilaria Alpi. The award recognizes reporters and photographers who have demonstrated exceptional sensitivity while documenting violence and abuse targeting vulnerable children. Its mission reflects the humanitarian values central to the foundation's work.
