Investigating the conditions of freedom of expression, the government of Sweden has set a list of measures to ensure the protection of the vulnerable groups necessary for democratic development of the country, namely, journalists, elected representatives and artists.
The measures taken by the Swedish government to ensure the protection against exposure to threats and hatred are focused on six main areas:
- deeper knowledge of threats and hatred
- support to the ones exposed
- stronger support for the listed group
- international cooperation for the protection of journalists and artists.
