Who influences the influencers?

This digest has been produced in cooperation with the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) 

The main findings of the research Communicate Research Ltd (on behalf of Burson-Marsteller):

  • POLITICO and Financial Times are the most read media sources for the EU News and decision making, with total of 69% and 62% respondents respectively naming it as most influential media
  • WhatsApp is mostly used in daily news consumption and communications among influencers.
  • EU influencers are generally more influenced by personal interactions with professional colleagues and personal contacts when collecting information for important decisions.
  • The research was deemed to be representative of EU Influencers by organisation type, party affiliation and region.
