The course is structured into 5 modules:
- Module 1 - Data journalism in the newsroom
- Module 2 - Finding data to support stories
- Module 3 - Finding story ideas with data analysis
- Module 4 - Dealing with messy data
- Module 5 - Telling stories with visualisation
Every module is divided into 4 sections. Every section contains one video of approximately 15 minutes. The estimate average time to be invested by a student on each module is about 4-5 hours. The course can be complete at students' own pace, although it is recommended to complete one module per week.
The course is offered through the platform LEARNO.NET implemented by the European Journalism Centre.
