"New Trends in Media and Journalism: Disinformation, Verification of News and Constructive Journalism in a Changing World". This is the title of the second edition of the International Media Summer Academy organised by the School of Journalism and Mass Communications of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki (AUTh). This year, its intensive, multi-disciplinary training course aims to provide in-depth knowledge and robust skills on crucial topics:

  • the influence of fake news
  • the developing methods of news verification
  • the new trends in Media, Journalism and News
  • Constructive Journalism
  • the meaning of Media Literacy

Participants will contribute in workshops developing case studies, extending their methodological knowledge through hands-on practices. During the Summer School, eminent international scholars will be invited to share their expertise in the form of lectures, collaborative study design, digital content development and theoretical models. As follow-up course of the Summer School an additional workshop with the topic “Witnessing, Refugee testimonials and advocacy” will be offered by Proof to participants (22-24 July 2018).
