Applications are now open for the September edition of the Next-IJ Cross-Border Investigative Training — a free, full-day intensive online training designed for mid-career European journalists working on complex, cross-border investigations that will take place on September 20, 2025.

About Next-IJ

Organised by OCCRP, Transcrime–UCSC, and GFMD, with support from the European Commission (EACEA), Next-Level Data and Tools for Investigative Journalism (Next-IJ) is an EU-backed initiative that empowers journalists with advanced tools, data skills, and strategies for international collaboration in the fight against corruption and financial crime.

Who Can Apply?

Applications from mid-career journalists (including freelancers) based in or affiliated with Creative Europe countries are welcome.
Eligible applicants should have a strong background in investigative or data journalism.
Note: Journalism students are not eligible unless they are clearly working as professional journalists.

Applications from underrepresented communities are especially encouraged.
English proficiency is required.
