he contest is part of the Wiki4MediaFreedom project, carried out by OBCT since 2015 within the framework of the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom to improve Wikipedia contents related to press freedom. During the I edition, which ended on July 15th, 20 articles in 3 languages were translated and improved.

This time, we have increased the number of target languages: users can participate by creating, updating, improving, and translating entries in Albanian, English, German, Italian, Serbo-Croatian, and Spanish.

The entries we propose are related to two main topics: access to information - the Access to Information Day was recently celebrated - and killed journalists, a theme which is unfortunately even more relevant after the killing of Viktoria Marinova. One of the articles that received a prize in the first edition was the biography of Daphne Caruana Galizia in Croatian.

Articles will be judged by curators of the Media Freedom Resource Centre, expert Wikipedians, and OBCT translators on the basis of quality, quantity, and added sources. The best works will receive three online gift vouchers (50, 30, and 20 Euros respectively). To encourage multilingualism, special prizes will be awarded to works in a language which has not received one of the three main prizes.

Terms and conditions for participation are available on Meta-Wiki .
