Union of Bulgarian Journalists (UBJ) - Stakeholders

The Union of  Bulgarian Journalists (UBJ) is the largest journalists' organization in Bulgaria. It is a voluntary association of 4500 journalists from all over the country who want to protect their own professional, social and trade union rights and interests. The main goals of UBJ are as follows: the promotion of professional journalism in the Bulgarian society; the adherence to professional standards and ethics; the protection of media freedom and independent press; the expression of the common interests of Bulgarian journalists to public authorities; the development of international cooperation in the field of professional journalism.

Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD) - Stakeholders

Founded in late 1989, the Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD) is an interdisciplinary public policy institute dedicated to the values of democracy and market economy. CSD defines itself as a "non-partisan, independent organization fostering the reform process in Europe through impact on policy and civil society". Born as a think-tank, its main goals are: to provide an enhanced institutional and policy capacity for a successful European integration process, especially in the area of justice and home affairs; to promote institutional reform and the practical implementation of democratic values in legal and economic practice; to monitor public attitudes and serve as a watchdog of the institutional reform process.

Center for Information and Bubble Studies (CIBS) - Stakeholders

Located at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Copenhagen, the Center for Information and Bubble Studies  (CIBS) was opened in 2016 by professor Vincent Hendricks . It is an interdisciplinary center that looks at mathematics, economics and logic as well as philosophy, information theory, social psychology and behavioral studies. The CIBS aims to examine the mathematical structure and dynamics of the "bubble phenomena", trying to answer questions such as "what do you do with these bubbles once they are there? Could you intervene? Are there good bubbles or malignant bubbles or are all bubbles malignant and some benign?". The CIBS was endowed in 2015 by a grant from the Carlsberg Foundation, which runs for a 5 year period.

European Youth Press (EYP) - Stakeholders

The European Youth Press (EYP) is a network of youth media organisations in Europe. With 27 member organisations and several committees, the EYP is a non-profit institution which reaches more than 60.000 young journalists across Europe, volunteers and professionals between 20 and 30 years of age. The main aim of the EYP is to inspire young people to involve themselves in media and take an active part in civil society, by fostering fair and independent journalism. To do that, EYP organises seminars, trainings and debates for young journalists while also taking an active part in discussions regarding the standards in journalism education and media policies throughout the European Union and beyond.
 

Albanian Centre for Quality Journalism - Stakeholders

Financially supported by US Embassy in Tirana through the US State Department’s Alumni Office Program, the Albanian Center for Quality Journalism aims to improve professional journalism standards in the country, paying particular attention to trainings for young students. Under this initiative, the contents of the website (both in English and Albanian) are produced and edited by the students of the Investigative Journalism Laboratory project, who are responsible for the policy and the editorial line.

Internet & Jurisdiction Policy Network - Stakeholders

Established in 2012, the Internet & Jurisdiction (I&J) Policy Network enables multi-stakeholder cooperation among civil society, academia, technical operators, international organizations, states and internet platforms to address the tension between the cross-border nature of the internet and national jurisdictions facilitating the development of global policy standards. Three thematic programs are currently carried out: Data & Jurisdiction, Content & Jurisdiction, Domains & Jurisdiction. The I&J Observatory keeps track of jurisdictional trends around the world.

The Campaign for Press and Broadcasting Freedom (CPBF) is a civil society organization based in the UK. It has been working for ‘a more accountable, freer and diverse media’ since 1979. CPBF is active in defending the principles of public service broadcasting and to argue for democratically accountable forms of broadcasting regulation.

The Campaign firmly believes that broadcasting is a public service as fundamental to the well-being of our democracy as our education and health systems, and should under no circumstances be treated as merely a producer of commodities

Correctiv (CORRECT!V) - Stakeholders

Correctiv (CORRECT!V) is a nonprofit investigative newsroom in the German-speaking world. It aims at making "investigative and informative journalism affordable and accessible to media organizations throughout Germany". Founded in 2014 it is part of the Global Investigative Journalism Network.

The Deutscher Journalisten-Verband (German Federation of Journalists) is a professional association, trade union and service center for journalists. With around 38.000 members is one of the largest journalists' trade union in Germany. It is one of the oldest and most important institutions of the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ).
