According to OSCE Representative on Media Freedom, at least 24 female journalists have been killed in the OSCE region since 1997. Journalists are regular targets of online attacks and female journalists face a double-burden: being attacked as journalists and as women. Anna Politknovskaya, Natalia Estemirova, Kim Wall, Daphne Caruana Galizia are just some cases among the many.
