Monitoring media pluralism in Europe

Several years of monitoring the state of play of media pluralism and freedom in Europe by the Media Pluralism Monitor (MPM) clearly show that no country is free from risks deriving from political, economic or legal conditions for media and journalism. The Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom (CMPF) will present and discuss the latest findings of the MPM 2017 in Brussels at the Borschette Centre. The annual CMPF's conference will also aim to operationalise – with scholars, experts, stakeholders and policymakers from all over Europe – the digital-related challenges, trying to address possible ways of measuring such risks, as a precondition for acting upon them.
