European Journalism Observatory (EJO) - Stakeholders

The European Journalism Observatory (EJO) is a network of independent non-profit media research institutes in 14 countries. The network aims to disseminate research on journalism and global media issues, and to foster professionalism and press freedom.

Among its activities, it provides analysis and articles on contemporary journalism and media research, holds conferences and workshops  and engages in comparative, investigative projects. 

Lithuanian Journalists' Society - Support Centres

The Lithuanian Journalists' Society (Lietuvos žurnalistų draugiją, LŽD) was born after the restoration of the country's independence in 1991. Besides defending its members' interests and promoting professional ethics and solidarity, the society aims more in general at supporting the role of journalism in social and cultural development.

Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma - Stakeholders

The Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma is a resource center and global network of journalists, journalism educators and health professionals dedicated to improving media coverage of trauma, conflict and tragedy. Based at the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University, the Dart Center is also involved in a variety of press freedom-related activities, including helping to spearhead the Global Safety Principles, campaigning on behalf of freelance journalists, supporting news organizations in developing countries, implementing initiatives to address psychological safety and spotlighting the cases of individual journalists targeted with violence. The Dart Center is a project of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. The European office of "Dart Center Europe" is based in London.

Platform for Independent Journalism (P24)  - BAĞIMSIZ GAZETECİLİK PLATFORMU is a civil society organization founded by members of the Turkish press whose objective is to support media integrity in Turkey by providing trainings, assistance and funding opportunities for young professionals. 

Estonian Union of Journalists - Support Centres

The Estonian Union of Journalists (Eesti Ajakirjanike Liit, EAL) was first established in 1919; it represents the journalism and media professionals active in Estonia. The union provides members with defense of economic interests and various forms of legal and professional support, as well as with training and scholarship opportunities. Norwegian Union of Journalists - Support Centres

The Norwegian Union of Journalists (Norsk Journalistlag) is the union representing the people working in the journalism sector in Norway, and it includes the vast majority of them. Besides acting in order to improve its members' working conditions, the union is active in promoting journalism ethics and freedom and in monitoring the state of journalism in Norway and abroad. It provides its members with legal and professional assistance, as well as with several education and grant opportunities. Union of Icelandic Journalists - Support Centres

The Union of Icelandic Journalists (Blaðamannafélag Íslands) is the union representing the journalism professionals in Iceland. Founded in 1897 and counting on some 500 members, the union monitors the state of the media and of media work in the country. It negotiates some working conditions for its members, and it provides them with legal support and educational or professional opportunities. National Union of Journalists - UK & Ireland - Support Centres

The National Union of Journalists (NUJ) is the union representing the people employed in the journalism sector in the United Kingdom and in Ireland. Founded in 1907, the NUJ includes quite a broad range of professionals, active in a variety of media outlets and working according to different models. The union provides information, assistance and support to its members, and it promotes campaigns to advance their causes.
